Blogging as writing practice

Two brief forays into the potentials for blog use: Blogging as Writing Practice examines blogging as a tool to integrate student writing into their lives, like creative writers are encouraged to do. Blogging as Class Content examines blogging content as a text itself. Posted by Stephanie at June 9, 2003 04:02 PM | TrackBack

Yeah, I think it something like class.

Although blogs have been around for a couple of years, by web standards they've been around for 'ages'. Interestingly, when you get a couple of people together to talk about blogs, often it seems like they're talking about different things. A lot of time and effort is being now spent to codify what a blog is or isn't and why. This is interesting, but is also kind of a pain in the ass. I mean I know what I mean, and so do others whose definitions disagree with mine, and yet we must spend all this time defining things in a way that will allow the argument we're actually interested in making from coming through.

You know?
